The enterprise-grade backbone for large, long-lived systems
Java is a mature, statically-typed language that's been the backbone of enterprise software for decades known for its stability, extensive tooling, and an ecosystem (Spring and its surrounding frameworks) built specifically for large, long-lived business systems with many integration points.
For enterprise environments already standardized on the JVM, or systems that need to run reliably for years with predictable performance characteristics, Java's maturity is a genuine asset the tooling for monitoring, profiling, and maintaining a Java system at scale is deep and well-established.
We work in Java when a client's existing enterprise environment calls for it integrating with legacy systems or extending a JVM-based platform already in production, rather than introducing a new language stack for its own sake.
